Rooted in Christ. Growing Together.

Messiah is a Lutheran congregation in Longmont. We gather around God's Word and Sacraments, encourage one another, and carry our faith into daily life.

Our Mission

To share Jesus' hope, grow in faith together, and serve with compassion.

Our Vision

To grow in God's Word, put faith into practice, and reach our neighbors.

What we believe:

The Triune God

We worship one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Grace Alone

Salvation is God's undeserved gift. We cannot earn His Forgiveness.

Faith Alone

Jesus died for our sins and rose again. The Holy Spirit creates faith through which we receive forgiveness and eternal life.

Scripture Alone

The Bible is God's inerrant, infallible Word - the authority for our teaching and life. Its Law reveals our sin; its Gospel announces salvation in Jesus.

Faith in Action

We worship, study Scripture, serve our neighbors, and support Christian ministry beyond our congregation.

Meet The Pastor

Meet The Pastor

Hi, I'm Pastor Ron —

I've been serving as pastor here at Messiah since 2017, and if there's one thing I want you to know about our church, it's this: faith isn't meant to stay inside the walls of a sanctuary on Sunday morning. It's meant to show up in the everyday — in how we treat our neighbors, care for one another, and remind each other that we're loved by God, not because we've earned it, but because that's simply who He is.

I believe church is less about a building and more about a people — and that the truest measure of our faith isn't how many of us show up on a Sunday, but how we live the other six days of the week. Some of my favorite moments as a pastor haven't happened in the pulpit at all — they've happened over coffee, around a table, in someone's living room, in the ordinary places where real relationships get built and real life gets shared. That's where I believe faith actually takes root.

My road to ministry wasn't a straight line, either. I spent about 15 years working in civil engineering before God called me into pastoral work — and I'm originally from the Chicago area, with stops near Cleveland, St. Louis, and New York City along the way before landing here in Colorado. All those years and places taught me a lot about people, problem-solving, and how much I love being part of a community — lessons I carry with me every day at Messiah.

I am passionate about building a church that feels less like an institution and more like family — a place where you're welcomed exactly as you are, wherever you're at.

I'm married to Darci, and I have two kids, Emma and Jack. Emma now leads our music ministry, which is a joy to watch.

Outside of church life, you'll usually find me with a guitar in hand or just spending time with my wife.

If you're new here or just checking us out online, I'd love to meet you — not just on a Sunday, but any day. Come as you are. We'd be honored to walk this road with you.
